A separate model gives Zcash (ZEC) a 2027 price ceiling of $1,719.08, below $2,000, while its next network upgrade is planned to activate on mainnet Nov. 5.
Dated Aug. 26, the model gives ZEC a range of $848.25 to $1,719.08 and an average estimate of $1,211.75. Its highest monthly figure falls in December. That estimate is $280.92 below $2,000, and no monthly reading for 2027 reaches the threshold.
The figures are projections, not prices observed in the market. The same model places a high of $2,096.01 in July 2028. That later figure belongs to a different year's forecast window and does not change the 2027 ceiling. A separate $2,000 price target had no stated 2027 deadline, so this annual model does not resolve that call.
NU7 addresses network operation, not a ZEC price target. Under the planned change, the network would aim for 25 seconds between blocks, compared with a current target of 75 seconds. The interval describes how often the network aims to produce a block; it is separate from a price estimate.
An Oct. 20 proposal named block 3,543,405 as an activation point. It remained open, with changes to upgrade documents still needed before it could be merged. The working specification had not designated a mainnet block height, leaving the proposed number outside the specification.
Results posted Sept. 14 for a coinholder vote showed 2,375,932.375 ZEC represented support for preserving halvings. A smoother issuance schedule received support representing 22,384.875 ZEC. These totals measure the ZEC behind each choice; they do not count individual voters.
The model, upgrade and vote cover separate measures: an estimated market price, a target for block timing and token-weighted preferences on issuance. The network change and vote figures do not provide a valuation for ZEC. NU7 is still planned to activate on mainnet Nov. 5.
