Local AB InBev brewer, Bavaria, will construct a new brewery in Colombia that would produce national beer brands such as Águila, Poker, and Club Colombia.
The brewery would be located in the municipality of Palmar de Varela, one hour from the Atlántico capital city of Barranquilla.
The new Bavaria brewery will begin operations in mid-2024,
According to Bavaria president Sergio Rincón, they firmly believe in the great transformations that the Columbian private sector can generate for the country, .and their new plant is a long-term investment in expanding in the industry.”
Bavaria is investing approximately $413 million, which could generate more than 1,500 jobs during the construction phase. Once operational, the production facility is expected to generate 350 direct jobs and 7,000 indirect jobs.
