Advanced Info Service (AIS), the largest Thai mobile operator by subscribers, would collaborate with artist management and production house Nadao Bangkok to create Thailand's first virtual reality (VR) content.
According to AIS, the collaboration between 5G network innovation and VR technology would create exclusive content for VR viewing via AIS VR 4K glasses.
Viewers would get to interact with the content while watching it.
AIS's chief consumer business officer, Pratthana Leelapanang, described the experience as having a clearer picture, fun, realism, and immersive experience with more content.
Pratthana added that the collaboration would generate growth opportunities for the Thai entertainment industry and encourage many to join the next generation of VR content creators.
AIS debuted a 5G VR live stream of Nadao's youth actors to meet fans.
AIS is also joining the Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote the beauty of the country via a 360-degree VR format to stimulate tourism.
Another project AIS is coming up is fitness lifestyle player Absolute You that would provide a 360-degree VR experience for home workouts.
