CORONA, Calif., April 30, 2018 -- Acology Inc. (OTCMARKETS:ACOL) announced today that their signature product, the MedTainer, has been granted a Utility Patent from the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.
The Canadian patent allows Acology to move forward with their plan to become the primary packaging solution for the Canadian recreational and medical cannabis market. Business has sharply increased over the past 60 days, as orders from Canadian LPs (Licensed Producers) are up over 25%. It appears that this trend will continue for the foreseeable future.
The Canadian patent will also enable Acology to protect its product(s) from counterfeit or copy and will ensure that the LPs will be able to offer their clients safe, compliant and customer-friendly packaging. Since Acology can also custom print and label each MedTainer brand names will stay in front of the consumer longer. The MedTainer has a better than 98% customer approval rating.
With the vote for legal recreational cannabis in Canada coming later this summer Acology will continue to aggressively position its’ product(s) as the primary retail packaging source for what is expected to be more than 7 million consumers.
This news comes within 2 weeks of Acology’s purchase of the entire Intellectual Property Portfolio for the MedTainer, including US design and utility patents, patents-pending in the EU, trademark(s), domain name(s) and all designs, molds, patterns and forms. With the granting of the Canadian Utility Patent Acology has also substantially increased the net-value of its’ portfolio.
