‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ season 4’s episode 17, titled “Identity and Change,” will follow Daisy and Simmons as they continue to attempt their return to the real world. Meanwhile, the identity of a Inhuman resistance leader is set to be revealed.
The synopsis for “Identity and Change” posted on TV Guide reads, “As Daisy (Chloe Bennet) and Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) struggle to discover an escape route to the real world, the identity of the Inhuman leader of the Resistance is revealed.”
The upcoming episode will feature Daisy and Simmons’ continuing efforts to return to the real world. The promo for episode 17 shows the two meeting up with familiar faces within the Framework. The final scene from the promo shows Simmons demanding that Radcliffe (John Hannah) help them but she is told that there is no way to escape.
In the previous episode, Daisy and Simmons’ escape plan failed to work. The two remained trapped in the Framework.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Jed Whedon hinted that fans may recognize other familiar characters. Whedon said, “One would assume that you’d recognize one or two people in there. We’ve had a lot of fun breaking these stories. I think it’ll be just as fun for the audience as it was for us to play the game of “What If?”
Meanwhile, an Inhuman head leading the Resistance may very well reveal his true identity in the upcoming episode. According to International Business Times, it was speculated that the Inhuman leader may be Jeffrey Mace (Jason O’Mara) as they character is heading back to the series. New promotional posters also reveal Mace’s updated Patriot costume that shows the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo.
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ season 4’s episode 17, titled “Identity and Change,” is scheduled to air on ABC on April 11, 2017. It was directed by Garry A. Brown and written by George Kitson. It will be followed by episode 18, titled "No Regrets," directed by Eric Laneuville and scheduled to be released on April 18.
