Alexis Sablone’s highly anticipated Nike SB/Converse Pack hits Nike SNKRS on August 29th. Meanwhile, official images of the Nike Book 1 “Python” have surfaced ahead of its September 12th release, showcasing a sleek design with all-over python print and a gum sole.
Alexis Sablone’s Limited-Edition Nike SB/Converse Pack, Inspired by Chameleons
Although Alexis Sablone didn’t compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Connecticut-born skater significantly impacted the international stage by designing the Nike SB Olympic kits for Team USA and Japan. Her work included a unique footwear duo featuring an SB Dunk Low and her signature skate shoe, the Converse AS-1 Pro.
With the conclusion of the Paris Games, Sablone’s sneaker duo is set for a limited release as a 500-pair pack on August 22nd, complete with custom packaging. According to Sneaker News, the boxes, featuring Sablone’s signature purple and individual numbering, are adorned with a glossy, abstract gold pattern that mirrors the footwear's design.
The sneaker designs draw inspiration from chameleons, incorporating wear-away fabrics and reptilian textures. The SB Dunk Low features camo green overlays that reveal a fuchsia base layer over time, while the AS-1 Pro sports textured white leather with a pink layer underneath.
After a limited release at select skate shops, the Alexis Sablone x Nike SB/Converse pack will be available through a Nike SNKRS draw on August 29th at 10:00 AM EST, retailing at $250 for the pack. The SB Dunk Low and AS-1 Pro will also be available individually on Nike SNKRS for $135 and $110, respectively.
Nike Book 1 'Python' Joins Devin Booker’s Signature Lineup, Set for September 12th Release
Following the reveal of the Nike Book 1 “Lilac Bloom,” the release schedule for Devin Booker’s first signature shoe is gaining momentum. The NY v. NY tournament recently showcased a new addition, the Nike Book 1“Python,” featuring an all-over python print and a gum sole.
Reptilian patterns have become a defining motif for the Nike Book 1, which has seen iterations like Chapter 1, Hike, and Rattlesnake throughout its debut year. The Python version offers a lighter, more summer-ready take on the theme, with off-white accents on the sock liner, laces, pull tab, and midsole.
Official images of the Nike Book 1 “Python” have been released. The shoes will be available on September 12th for $150.
