ADVISORY, Aug. 24, 2016 --
What:
The American Red Cross will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to raise awareness for the tens of thousands of Americans impacted by historic flooding in Louisiana, the worst natural disaster in the US since Superstorm Sandy. More than 1900 Red Cross workers are on the ground in Louisiana now providing shelter, food and comfort, and will continue to be there in the weeks and months ahead, helping residents recover from this devastating disaster.
The Red Cross urges the public to support those affected by the Louisiana floods. To help, please visit redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS or text the word LAFLOODS to 90999. Donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from these disasters.
