Angelina Jolie allegedly already lost the court battle for the custody of her children. It was added that the kids were asked to choose between the parents and have chosen their dad Brad Pitt.
This was reported by a tabloid and it appeared in print on The National Enquirer (via Gossip Cop). The paper further claimed that an insider told them that the kids chose their father because they are fed up with Angelina.
“The kids are fed up with their mom’s behavior. They want to move back in with their dad as soon as possible,” the so-called source said. “The children can’t stand the drama under Angie’s roof another single day!”
However, the story seems off because Brad Pitt and Angelina’s court battle is still not over. As previously reported by People, the former couple temporarily settled their case. Both agreed to continue interim child custody while their divorce proceedings are ongoing.
With that case still in court, clearly, the National Enquirer report is false. In fact, Angelina Jolie just hired a new lawyer to defend her case. The “Tomb Raider” actress has let go of lawyer Laura Wasser and attorney Samantha Bley DeJean will replace her, E! News reported.
As for the reason for the change in her legal team, it is said that since DeJean is an expert in child protection, Angelina Jolie decided to hire her as her new counsel.
"Samantha's expertise is the protection of children and over the past few weeks, Angelina's come to rely on her counsel and decided to put her in the lead," the actress’ spokesperson, Mindy Nyby, told the media. “Angelina appreciates Laura's cooperation in transitioning the case over the past several weeks."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six kids, namely Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox. They tied the knot in 2014 but announced their divorce in September 2016.
