Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt allegedly met in secret and it resulted in a truce. It was added that the meeting improved the “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” actors’ co-parenting relationship after coming up with agreeable terms.
According to Entertainment Tonight, Angelina Jolie reached out to Brad Pitt first so they could fix their co-parenting issues for the benefit of their six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10.
"Brad and Angelina actually set up a secret meeting at her house. It’s the first time they have truly gotten together to make things work since their group therapy with the children,” an unnamed insider told ET. “Brad and Angie’s meeting was a success. They are going to stay with the plan set forth through the courts."
It was also claimed that Angelina thinks it is the right time to make things work and it is a good thing because Brad has also been dedicated to making peace since the beginning of their divorce and custody battle. Now, after the supposed meeting, they reached the point “where they can create a calmer situation for the kids."
But Gossip Cop is not convinced. The magazine is not buying the idea that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt met up at the former’s home and they are finally at peace after their group therapy and agreeing to abide by the arrangements set by the court.
The fact-checking site indicated that the ET report lacks real specifics such as when the meeting happened and what the terms are that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt agreed to. It also stated that the source could also be non-existent since they could not be named and the information shared does not appear to come straight from someone close to the couple. Moreover, Gossip Cop said that it was able to talk to a real insider and confirmed its suspicion that the meeting never happened.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still deep in their custody battle that made headlines last month after the former accused her ex-husband of not paying child support. The pair has not settled the case yet and their battle is ongoing.
