Anthropic announced on Monday that its Claude family of artificial intelligence models is now available through Microsoft Foundry on Azure, powered by NVIDIA’s GB300 Blackwell Ultra GPU systems. The rollout marks the first time Claude AI models have been deployed on NVIDIA hardware, expanding enterprise access to high-performance AI infrastructure.

The new availability allows Microsoft Azure customers to use Claude AI models to develop autonomous and domain-specific AI agents. Businesses are increasingly investing in agentic AI solutions capable of automating complex workflows, improving productivity, and streamlining business operations across multiple industries.

According to Anthropic, deploying Claude on NVIDIA’s GB300 Blackwell Ultra GPUs enhances AI inference performance while improving efficiency and lowering the total cost of ownership for enterprise AI workloads. These performance gains are expected to help organizations scale advanced AI applications more effectively.

The launch follows a strategic partnership announced in November by Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic to broaden enterprise access to Claude models through NVIDIA-accelerated computing. By combining Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform with NVIDIA’s latest AI hardware, the companies aim to deliver faster, more efficient AI services for enterprise customers.

Claude models operate on NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems equipped with Quantum-X800 InfiniBand networking, enabling businesses to deploy sophisticated AI agents and specialized sub-agents capable of handling different business functions simultaneously. This infrastructure is designed to support demanding enterprise AI workloads while maintaining high-speed connectivity and performance.

NVIDIA is also expanding its collaboration with Anthropic by integrating its software ecosystem into the Claude platform. The partnership includes NVIDIA Verified Agent Skills, allowing organizations to enhance Claude-powered AI agents with domain-specific capabilities using NVIDIA-accelerated computing resources.

In addition, customers can deploy Claude AI agents on Microsoft Azure through NVIDIA’s Secure Agent Workspace Reference Design. The platform provides enterprise-grade infrastructure controls covering identity management, networking, credential protection, and runtime policies, helping organizations securely deploy and manage AI applications while supporting the growing adoption of enterprise-grade generative AI and autonomous AI agents.
