Anthropic’s public Form S-1 lists remaining performance obligations, a measure of customer arrangements awaiting revenue recognition that gives investors a view of revenue still to be delivered.

Customer activity will affect when the company records that revenue because usage accounts for much of Anthropic’s business.

The measure combines deferred revenue with amounts tied to non-cancelable arrangements that Anthropic has not yet recognized as revenue.

Anthropic also disclosed commitments to entities it had invested in. Some of that funding remained unpaid at June 30 and could still be paid, while the filing described the investments’ carrying value as not material.

The S-1 puts Anthropic’s infrastructure and compute costs at $8.945 billion for the first half; EconoTimes covered the filing’s expense figures earlier.
