In major good news to music lovers, Apple has raised the limits on iTunes Match and Apple Music library for matched songs from 25,000 to 100,000 songs, 9To5Mac reported.
Apple’s SVP for Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue confirmed to MacRumors that Apple has indeed "started rolling out support for 100k libraries."
Matching songs in the iTunes Cloud is of great use for people who cannot afford the expensive 64 GB and 128 GB iPhone models by offloading local music storage to the cloud. With the recently raised limit, users with bigger music libraries can now match/upload songs to the cloud and enjoy them on all of their devices.
Apple Music and iTunes Match both offer access to iCloud Music Library, offering the same match/upload music locker feature. Users need to pay either $24.99 a year for iTunes Match or $9.99 a month for Apple Music to make use of the cloud locker, The Verge reported.
