Speculations regarding potential nuptials between Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been largely abuzz around this musical power couple since April.
Both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are divorced from previous partners. Gwen Stefani was in a 13-year relationship with musician Gavin Rossdale before divorcing him. Blake Shelton, meanwhile, was married to Kaynette Williams from 2003 to 2006, and later to Miranda Lambert from 2011 to 2015. The two started dating in 2015, overlapping Stefani's marriage with Rossdale by a year up until they divorced in 2016. Between the couple, only Stefani has children, who seem to be getting along quite well with Shelton.
Recent displays of public affection from the couple include Shelton jokingly calling himself a Gwen Stefani Stalker on Twitter. In one of the same Vegas shows, Shelton was applauded as he entered the theater on his way to sit beside Gwen Stefani's 11-year-old-son, Apollo. Stefani has also admitted that performing “Make Me Like You” in front of Shelton in a cowgirl outfit is a fantasy-come-true for her. The couple has even danced to Stefani's “Hollaback Girl” at a friend's wedding the couple attended back in June.
This closeness and the very open displays of affection in public and social media have many people convinced that the couple should already tie the knot. Gwen Stefani has already publicly stated that she thinks about getting married to Blake Shelton all the time. The only thing stopping this couple from potentially tying the knot may be Shelton's own hesitation.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may be the cutest couple in hollywood right now. But while a lot of the cards are perfectly in place for the couple to get married already, and everyone, including Stefani herself, is clamoring for it, there is still one clear hurdle that's stopping it from happening. Until we get a clearer picture of why Shelton is holding off the wedding bells even though he and Stefani have been together since 2015, we might never know if the couple will be getting married anytime soon.
