Asian markets higher ahead of ECB, gold stabilizes above $1,170

All the Asian indices were trading on a positive note on Thursday. The main event for the day is ECB rate decision at 1245 GMT. Gold and silver were also trading on higher side. Gold was trading around $1,177 mark and silver was trading around $17.16 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 1.23 percent higher at 2,016.37 points.

Tokyo's Nikkei was trading 0.78 percent higher at 18,638.22 points.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was trading 0.74 percent higher at 22,970.00 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was trading 1.23 percent higher at 5,545.52 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 1.19 percent higher at 8,199.25 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.98 percent higher at 26,494.27 points.
