Asian markets start new week on mixed note, gold marginally down

All the major Asian indices were trading on a mixed note on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,286 mark while silver was trading around $17.13 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading 0.93 pct lower at 19,546.25 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 1.10 percent higher at 27,170.29 points.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.57 pct higher at 2,332.63 points.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.64 pct higher at 5,729.50 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.77 percent higher at 9,785.15 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.71 percent higher at 31,434.17 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.1 pct at 3,206.04 points and China's CSI300 index to open up 0.1 pct at 3,651.38 points.

Taiwan stock was trading around 0.80 pct lower at 10,250.56 points.
