Honolulu, HI, Jan. 22, 2018 -- Associa Hawaii continues to focus on operational growth and providing exceptional customer service with the addition of Lisa Cano, vice president of operations, Maui; Kenneth “Ken” Bailey, community manager, Hilo; Sandra Martinsen, community manager, Maui and Shana Maguire, senior community manager, Kauai.
Ms. Cano joins Associa Hawaii with more than 30 years of customer service experience in retail, consulting, training and hospitality. In her new position, she will continue to grow the Maui client-base and provide communities with superior customer service. She has previously served as the regional manager for Hawaii First, account executive for Hawaiiana Management Company, and founded Association Partners Services in 2016. Ms. Cano obtained her Association Management Specialist (AMS®) and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA®) designations from the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and is working towards earning the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM®) designation. She has served on the Community Council of Maui Board of Directors since 2011, staying current on industry law, best practices, maintenance procedures, and technology related to community management.
Mr. Bailey joins Associa Hawaii as part of the plan to continue expanding the branch’s geographic footprint on the Big Island. Mr. Bailey will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients as well as focusing on a targeted expansion in Hilo. Formerly with Hawaii First, Mr. Bailey spent more than 16 years as the operations manager where he provided operations support and strategy development to associations and rental properties.
Ms. Martinsen joins Associa Hawaii as a community manager focusing on the Maui division. She brings more than 12 years of experience in property management, administrative management, and financial management. Prior to joining Associa Hawaii, Ms. Martinsen was an accountant with Expedia Local where she provided accounting and financial support to business operations. Prior to her tenure with Expedia, Ms. Martinsen worked for Southwest Property Management. As an assistant property manager, she had oversight of the daily operations, maintenance, administration, and improvement of a 1,856-home, 700-acre community, including commercial and residential properties with a $7.8 million dollar annual budget. Ms. Martinsen has been a member of the Department of Business and Professional Regulations, Condominium Owners and Managers Association, and Building Manager International in Florida. She also earned her Associates degree in Business Management from Daniel Webster College and her Community Association Manager designation from the Department of Business Professional Regulations in Florida.
Ms. Maguire joins Associa Hawaii as a senior community manager on the island of Kauai. In her new position, she will focus on providing residents with unmatched customer service. Ms. Maguire has more than eight years of industry experience and has earned her CMCA® and AMS® designations. Ms. Maguire has previously served as program manager for Hewlett Packard. She graduated from California State University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
