Honolulu, HI, Oct. 04, 2017 -- Associa Hawaii hosted an evening of spine-chilling theatre to raise money to benefit the Hawaiian Mission Houses.
The event was held at the Oahu Cemetery and transformed a talented cast of local actors into historical figures, focusing on the scientists, observers and those who helped shape the landscape of Hawaii in the 19th and early 20th century. The guests enjoyed the unique show while feasting on an array of appetizers.
The Hawaiian Mission Houses Historic Site and Archives (HMH) includes three restored houses, two of which are the oldest houses in Hawaii, and research archives that provides a unique glimpse into 19th century Hawaii. The site was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965 and has been accredited by the American Alliance of Museums since 1972, with re-accreditation earned in 2010.
“Associa Hawaii is honored to have participated in such an imaginative event and helped raise funds for our local Hawaiian Mission Houses charity,” stated Doug Hesley, Associa Hawaii president. “Our distinguished guests had a great time, enjoyed the festivities and can’t wait to participate next year.”
The event raised more than $8,000 for the local charity.
