Georgia’s Senate contest pits Democratic incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff against Republican Rep. Mike Collins; The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s new poll finds Ossoff with a sizable lead.

Democrats are seeking four net Senate gains while defending seats they currently hold. As EconoTimes explained in its earlier account of the Senate map, every loss in a state Democrats hold would require one additional win in a Republican-held state to preserve the same net gain.

Inside Elections rated Georgia as leaning Democratic in that earlier coverage. The rating describes the state’s electoral tilt, while the AJC poll reports on the Ossoff-Collins contest. The earlier account also identified open-seat races in Michigan and New Hampshire as part of the broader Senate map.

Ossoff is the Democratic incumbent, and Collins is his Republican challenger. Georgia voters are scheduled to decide between them on Nov. 3, 2026.
