“Attack on Titan” chapter 117 is shaping up as one of the most action-packed installments of the current arc. Considering how chapter 116 ended, many are now expecting for the most anticipated Titan rematches in the series — Eren versus Reiner. However, since the manga has taken a consistent monthly release, fans should expect to wait for a few more weeks before seeing this happen.
The final panel of chapter 116 showed Reiner Braun promising to avenge Marley from Eren. That is almost a confirmation that he is aiming to fight with Eren in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117 or in the chapters after this.
Chapter 116’s ending made it look like Eren is at a great disadvantage after being fooled by Pieck. However, he has more tricks in his Titan arsenal that he could pull off in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117 to make sure Porco Galliard’s Jaw Titan and Reiner will not defeat him.
One of the predicted moves Eren will pull off in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117 is activating the War Hammer Titan. This form allows its inheritor to create and control structures that are made of hardened Titan flesh. This means that Eren can make weapons with ample strength and size to hurt his Titan opponents.
Discover Diary suggests that Eren might go for his favorite choice of weapons in “Attack on Titan” chapter 117. If this happens, fans might be seeing him creating a pair of swords in the next manga installment.
The Eren and Reiner rematch have a bigger chance of ending in favor of the former. However, Reiner has a large army back up coming into “Attack on Titan” chapter 117. Added to that, the Jaw Titan has almost consumed Eren and is ready to fight.
There are many factors to consider in this looming rematch to determine whether or not Reiner will finally win over Eren for the first time. “Attack on Titan” chapter 117 will reportedly be released on May 9.
