The wait for “Attack on Titan” season 4 will be over in a little over a month from now. Luckily, two of the biggest anime streaming platforms have confirmed they will offer a simulcast of the upcoming episodes.
‘Attack on Titan’ season 4 release date: Where to watch
“Attack on Titan” season 4 was initially expected to be released at an earlier time. But since COVID-19 affected the timeline of several anime projects earlier this year, it appears that some adjustments were also made for the final installment of the series.
On the bright side, fans no longer have to guess when they will be watching “Attack on Titan” season 4 as it has been confirmed to premiere on Monday, Dec. 7 in Japan. But there will be several ways to watch the official streaming of new episodes in different territories.
Funimation is confirmed to simulcast “Attack on Titan” season 4 where its services are available: the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland. Crunchyroll will also stream the upcoming episodes for viewers in those territories as well as in South Africa, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, and Latin America. Fans in Asia can follow the final series through the Aniplus network.
“Attack on Titan” season 4 is going to be the first anime installment of the franchise that is not produced by WIT. The making of the final episodes has been transferred to MAPPA.
‘Attack on Titan’ season 4 spoilers: What to expect
The popular anime series is based on the same title manga created by Hajime Isayama. It follows the journey of the main protagonist named Eren who, along with his friends and fellow soldiers, dreams of freeing people from the threats of human-eating Titans.
“Attack on Titan” season 4 should pick up from the latest events in season 3 that mostly centered on the discovery of Marley’s earlier plan of invasion using the giant humanoids that led to the death of Eren’s mother. The third season ended with Armin and Eren fulfilling their dream of seeing the ocean, but the new information also hints at a looming war.
