AUSTIN, Texas, March 28, 2016 -- Sedgwick LLP is pleased to announce that JoAnn Dalrymple has joined the firm as a partner in its Austin, TX, office. Dalrymple concentrates her litigation practice in commercial, insurance and healthcare disputes. She serves as a healthcare and commercial panel member of the American Arbitration Association and has substantial ERISA, employee benefits, and managed care litigation experience.
"JoAnn has an excellent track record of representing clients in litigation across the country, but she is equally strong at helping clients avoid litigation altogether," Sedgwick Chair Michael Healy said. "In addition to her practice, we were impressed by JoAnn's leadership and involvement both with her profession and in her community."
Prior to Sedgwick, Dalrymple was a partner at Jackson Walker, L.L.P. As a litigator, she has dedicated her practice to helping clients resolve commercial, insurance and healthcare disputes in a range of venues, including administrative agency hearings and state and federal courts. She has managed class actions, complex litigation and appeals across the nation, and has extensive mediation and arbitration experience in her 21 years of practice.
In addition to serving as a panel member to the American Arbitration Association, Dalrymple has served as vice chair of the ABA TIPS Section's Health and Disability Insurance Law Committee, as a Barrister with the Lloyd Lochridge Inn of Court, as a founding Master and Treasurer of the Barbara Jordan Inn of Court, and as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. She is also a Fellow of the Leadership Council of Legal Diversity and a member of numerous bar associations, including the Austin Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for her work in healthcare litigation.
Dalrymple earned both her J.D. and her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas.
