LEXINGTON, S.C., June 08, 2017 -- Avtec Inc., the leading independent provider of mission-critical, pure Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) dispatch console systems, has successfully tested and validated the wireline integration between the Avtec Scout™ dispatch console and the Harris P25 radio system at the Alberta First Responders Radio Communications System (AFRRCS) test lab in Alberta, Canada.
The test confirms system compatibility and adherence to the features and functionality requirements of the P25 Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI) standard. For organizations seeking to improve their mission-critical communications systems, the integration of Scout consoles with Harris P25 systems represents the best of both worlds – with more choices, enhanced functionality, additional features and greater value.
Avtec has a long history of supporting open standards. As an active member of the P25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG), Avtec collaborates with leading Land Mobile Radio (LMR) manufacturers on the protocols that define standards for interfacing with P25 and Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) standards-based networks.
