NEWTON, Mass., Sept. 01, 2016 -- Adviser Investments has been ranked #53 on Barron’s list of “The Top 100 Independent Advisors” in its Aug. 29, 2016 issue. The ranking is based on the quality of the practice, assets under management and revenues as determined by Barron’s editors. Inclusion on this list places Adviser Investments alongside many of the country’s elite independent money managers.
Among the top 100 independent advisers, Adviser Investments had the second-lowest average account size, while also counting the highest level of assets under management of the 18 firms whose typical client net worth was $2 million or less.
“It has always been our mission to provide institutional-quality asset management services while remaining within reach of a wide range of clients,” said Adviser Investments Chairman and CEO Daniel P. Wiener. “We’re gratified that Barron’s has again taken notice, and pleased to have our services accessible to a greater percentage of Main Street investors.”
To be nominated, advisers complete a detailed survey about their practice. The pool of nominees is then screened to determine the top 100. Recognizing that clients’ investment goals may vary, investment performance is not an explicit criterion.
Earlier in 2016, Barron’s ranked Adviser Investments on its list of the “Best Massachusetts Financial Advisors” for the fourth year in a row and the Financial Times placed it on the “FT 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers” list for the third consecutive year.
“Adviser Investments ranks as one of the largest independent advisers in the country,” said Daniel Silver, the company’s president. “But we continue to offer the same personalized service we did when we were one-tenth the size and expect to do so for decades to come.”
