Daesung

BIGBANG’s Daesung is in hot water even if he is still currently enlisted in the army. His troubles began after a TV network, Channel A, aired an investigative report about the alleged illegal and suspicious businesses running in the building owned by the idol singer.

The news was first dropped in July, and it immediately trended for another BIGBANG member is being suspected of being involved in illegal activities. Based on the news, Daesung’s building houses entertainment establishments for adults and prostitution may also be involved as well.

The investigation on Daesung’s building

The suspicion that adult entertainment is being offered in the BIGBANG member’s property came up after Channel A was able to secure a series of footage showing wealthy people coming in and going out of the building and this only happens at night too. In the upper floors, they also filmed what looks like customers being served with alcoholic drinks.

Reportedly, there are also spaces for VIPs and a floor where people can use a room for alleged prostitution. When the news broke out, Daesung immediately issued a statement denying that he knows about the illegal activities in his building. He admitted to owning the property but vowed that he is unaware of the kinds of businesses being operated there.

He explained that he bought the property a few weeks before enlisting in the army, so he does not know about his tenants. The BIGBANG member further said that he would sue the tenants if they will be found guilty of carrying out inappropriate businesses in his property.

Police’s conduct search and seizure in Daesung’s building

It was reported that five businesses have already shut down and on Aug. 4, the police in Gangnam conducted a search and seizure on the businesses in Deasung’s building. It is related to the violations on food sanitation laws and matters related to the hiring of women as hostesses, as per ENews 24.

The police said that they would assess all the evidence that they have collected and recommend a case if there are violations. The BIGBANG member is also at risk of being charged if it was proven that his tenants violated the law.
