FxWirePro: GBP/NZD gains some ground but outlook is bearish

• GBP/NZD firmed  on Thursday as renewed geopolitical uncertainty weighing on risk-sensitive currencies such as the Kiwi dollar.

• The United States carried out another round of attacks on Iran on Wednesday, ordered by President Donald Trump, continuing nearly two weeks of military operations..

• The Iran conflict began on February 28 after the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran, prompting Tehran to retaliate with strikes on Israel and Gulf states hosting American military bases.

• Oil prices jumped 4% on Thursday, staying near six-week highs after Yemen’s Houthi militia claimed attacks on two Saudi oil tankers, raising concerns over supply disruptions.

• Technical outlook is bearish  in the short-term as RSI is at 45 bearish, and Moving averganes 14,21,30 SMA are trending down.

• Immediate resistance is located at 2.3180 ( 61.8% fib), any close above will push the pair towards 2.3229(SMA 20).

• Immediate support is seen at 2.2940 (50% fib) and break below could take the pair towards 2.2687 (38.2% fib).

Recommendation: Good to sell around 2.3080, with stop loss of 2.3150 and target price of 2.3000
