CARMEL, Ind., Sept. 14, 2017 -- Baldwin & Lyons, Inc. (NASDAQ:BWINA) (NASDAQ:BWINB) announced the appointment of LoriAnn V. Lowery-Biggers to the Company’s Board of Directors, effective August 31, 2017.
“LoriAnn’s years of insurance leadership experience teamed with her entrepreneurial mindset and true passion for the industry make her a welcome addition to our Board,” said Steve Shapiro, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. “She is a standout in the industry and we are very proud to have her join us.”
Lowery-Biggers is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BellaVaughan, Inc., a global diamond and design company. Prior to starting her business, Lowery-Biggers spent over 25 years in various leadership roles in the insurance industry. Most recently, she served as President of Field Operations, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of The Navigators Group, Inc. from October 2009 to October 2016, and President of North American Operations at Society of Lloyd’s from 2008 until 2009. Additionally, she has held leadership positions with Wells Fargo Insurance Services, Wells Fargo Captive, and Marsh and McLennan. Lowery-Biggers holds a degree in finance from the University of Texas.
Currently, Lowery-Biggers is also on the board of directors at CopperPoint Mutual Insurance Company and Brown and Riding Insurance, Inc.
She is also a dedicated human rights activist and serves on several charitable boards including the A21 Campaign, Prevent Child Abuse America, PropelWomen, Equip and Empower, Inc., and Global Advance, Inc.
