NEW YORK, N.Y., April 19, 2016 -- Beazley, a leading specialist insurer, has appointed Elizabeth "Libby" Benet to drive the new business and product development of the specialty treaty team's partner solutions focus group. Benet will be based in Beazley's Farmington, CT office and report to Joanne McCann, Beazley's specialty treaty focus group leader.
Beazley's specialty treaty team partners with insurance carriers to provide them with turnkey insurance products such as employment practices liability (EPL) and data breach to enhance their product offerings for their policyholders. The team works with these carriers to deliver cutting edge products that include policy forms, rates, underwriting, claims handling and appropriate risk transfer.
Benet joins Beazley from General Re where, most recently she served as SVP, North American Underwriting Manager for Treaty Reinsurance for specialty lines, managing a team of underwriters and overseeing marketing and strategy. Prior to General Re, she worked for Zurich Insurance in their Middle Markets division.
"Beazley works collaboratively with clients to help fill the gaps in their product offerings to ensure they are catering to their policyholders needs and exposures," said McCann. "Libby's extensive and successful history in this area is a major addition to our team as we continue to grow this offering."
