It is often easy to see if a Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner story is true or not and a lot of it has to do with the source of the report. When coming from reliable, proven sources, it becomes easier to swallow the details being provided since the story is often treated with sensitivity. When coming from the tabloid media, though, there is hardly any care given to the topic or its subjects.
As Gossip Cop points out, this new Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner story is courtesy of the National Enquirer. Readers might know that this publication has ties to President Trump and has been known to hide the truth. As such, anything it spouts is already a candidate for dismissal since no one can really take them all that seriously.
With regards to what the Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner report is even about, the magazine claimed that the pair had a fight recently right after dropping off their kids at school. One telling sign that this story is fake is the headline that reads “Ben & Jen’s Stroll Takes Nasty Turn!”
It’s worth pointing out that there was absolutely no evidence to suggest that there was a Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner fight, to begin with. Regardless of how many supposed sources the publication quotes, it doesn’t change the fact that it is the only one claiming to have the details on the matter. Considering its reputation, this is already grounds for not taking this story seriously.
“Nothing’s worse than facing an upset ex-spouse. Ben looked like a sulking teenager as he coped to whatever Jen was annoyed with him about,” a supposed source reportedly said.
Just to drive the point home that this Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner controversy is entirely made up, there is actually a video of the two during that stroll. It depicted nothing but a calm conversation between two separated parents before drifting off. There was no fight and no signs of any arguments.
