Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are officially divorced, reports revealed on Thursday. However, another article came out alleging the ex-spouses are not on good terms all the time and accused them of acting “bitter."
A judge has signed the necessary legal documents on Nov. 7 to finalize the split of Affleck and Garner, The Blast reported. As previously confirmed, the exes signed child custody and property settlements in early October, just shortly after the actor finished his third rehab stint.
Meanwhile, part of Affleck and Garner’s final divorce papers is the mandate that they see a co-parenting therapist at least once a month for the next six months. On the other hand, Radar Online also shared several segments of the divorce papers from its own obtained documents revealing that the court advised them to never fight in front of their kids.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were reportedly told “neither party shall make derogatory or insulting remarks about the other party, the other party’s significant other, or the other party’s family” where the kids can see them. It was not stated why therapy sessions were sanctioned and why they were practically rebuked about fighting. Affleck and Garner have been apparently doing good at being co-parents since they confirmed their separation in 2015.
Though they got separated in 2015, Garner only filed for divorce from Affleck in 2017 citing “irreconcilable differences.” Earlier this year, a judge warned them about the possible dismissal of their divorce case from the lack of progress in the proceedings.
In August, Garner helped Affleck check in to a California rehab facility after an apparent relapse on his struggle with alcohol addiction. About a week later, it was reported that they finally drafted their settlement that was later signed in October.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were spotted attending a church service last Sunday. Last Oct. 28, they also watched a World Series game together where the actor is seen showing support for the Boston Red Sox.
