The slow, thoughtful and moving drama that somehow turned one of the funniest characters from Breaking Bad into the most tragic, ‘Better Call Saul’, which is now on its second season is back to entertain once more its long list of loyal fans and viewers.
The episode opened with Saul Goodman a.k.a Jimmy, working at a mall Cinnabon. This particular scene was a jump to the future which clearly shows that Jimmy's living a whole new life — one that not everyone around him approves of.
Afterwards, the scene panned out to that of the present where Jimmy has just turned down a position within a major law firm and is living a millionaire’s life. He is seen lounging in the hotel pool, delighting on those sumptuous dishes and drinks until Kim (Rhea Seehorn) arrives and disrupts his relaxation time.
Kim will question Jimmy’s life choices and his new lifestyle and asks for details about his trip Cicero. Jimmy never really tells Kim he's considering returning to his old ways, but decides to let her into his world just a little bit. Jimmy is back to conning business men and this time he is in the lookout for this particular sleazy businessman across the bar he is drinking at. He then invites Kris in the game and talks to the businessman.
The two will be pretending to be brothers and sisters who got rich because of the death of a millionaire uncle. The dollar amount peaks the interest of the eager finance-bro who invites Jimmy and Kim to sit with him and talk shop.
