Leading Japanese electronics retailer Bic Camera is going to roll out bitcoin payments feature to all of its stores, Nikkei reported.
Earlier this year, the retail giant entered into partnerships with bitcoin exchange bitFlyer to start accepting bitcoin payments. After the successful trial run, Bic Camera has now decided to extend the payment system to all its stores across country.
When the trial run was introduced in April, customers were allowed to pay up to 100,000 yen ($904) using bitcoin. They got reward points at the same rate as for cash payments.
According to Nikkei, Bic Camera will also start accepting bitcoin payments at some outposts of its subsidiary Kojima, usually located in the suburbs.
