Binance Lists Hyperliquid (HYPE) Spot Trading, but Initial Volatility Triggers 4.6% Slip

Beginning on September 24, 2026, at 11:00 UTC (4:30 PM IST), Binance has increased access to Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, by introducing spot trading. With no listing costs and deposits beginning one hour before trading, the exchange introduced three spot pairs—HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC, and HYPE/TRY. Withdrawals are set to begin on September 25 at 11:00 UTC. The TRY pair is strictly reserved for fully verified Binance TR retail customers, while regional access restrictions still apply and so exclude traders in countries such the United States, Canada, Iran, and the Netherlands.

Being listed on one of the top exchanges worldwide greatly increases visibility, liquidity, and pricing discovery for the Hyperliquid environment, however the first reaction was erratic. Rather than producing a sustained rally, HYPE dropped around 4.6% soon after trade started. This first price drop signals a classic "sell the news" response, therefore demonstrating how profit-taking can somewhat outweigh access-driven demand.

Binance used its "Seed Tag" on HYPE to draw attention to the asset's early-stage character and risk profile. To trade the asset on Spot or Margin platforms, this category asks consumers to take a required risk test every 90 days. Market participants will be tracking opening trading volumes, order-book spreads across trading pairs, and post-withdrawal flow dynamics on September 25 to see whether genuine buying interest materializes beyond this early liquidity spike going forward.
