The anime got postponed a couple of months ago and left fans with an intriguing cliffhanger that might have something to do with Megicula. The good news is the release date for “Black Clover” episode 133 has finally been announced.
‘Black Clover’ episode 133 returns in early July
Anime fans received their highly anticipated update that confirmed “Black Clover” episode 133 is coming back very soon. It can be recalled that the show, based on Yuki Tabata’s same title manga series, had its weekly broadcast postponed following the rise of COVID-19 cases and restrictions in Japan.
After rumors that the show will return in summer, producers finally announced over the weekend that the show is coming back in early July. “Black Clover” episode 133 will be released on Tuesday, July 7. Other international streaming platforms and TV networks that also broadcast the series have confirmed the news as well.
The announcement also confirms that the show will be back to its weekly schedule starting with the airing of “Black Clover” episode 133. This means new episodes will be released every Tuesday starting on July 7.
Danger potentially awaits for Asta and Leopold when anime returns
“Black Clover” episode 133 is a continuation of the last episode before the series was suspended, titled “The Lion Awakens.” Before episode 132 aired, many fans thought the “lion” is a reference to Fuegoleon and Mereoleona’s younger brother, Leopold. But the possibilities for what the title means increased when episode 132 confirmed that the Bulls and Lions are facing a very real and unknown danger underneath the Yultim Volcano.
To recap, Mereoleona designed this training exercise with an unannounced goal of luring out the giant spider she originally thought mutated naturally in the volcano. But after Leopold, Noelle, and Asta neutralized the monster, it was confirmed that the spider was man-made and was placed there to guard the entrance to an unknown dungeon.
The “Black Clover” episode 133 preview confirms that the Magic Knights will be exploring the dungeon with Leopold promising to accomplish the task before Asta. Mereoleona also mentioned the possibility of an ancient curse used on the giant spider, which sparked theories that this training exercise might somehow be linked to the devil Megicula.
