‘Blue Bloods’ Season 10 Renewal Is Uncertain Due to Issues But Tom Selleck Is Positive They Will Be Back

Blue Bloods

“Blue Bloods” season 9 is almost over, and this is why fans want to know now if it will continue with the tenth installment. Unfortunately, there is no advise of renewal from CBS yet, and while it may still be early for an announcement, the show’s avid viewers are worried because typically, popular programs are renewed even when a current season is still airing.

Likewise, there is no news about “Blue Bloods” season 10 renewal but here are key points that may give a clue if it will return for another run or not. Firstly, Tom Selleck (Frank Reagan) revealed that none of the cast members signed a new contract to do the tenth season. However, the actor was quick to point out that this is a common practice with long-running shows.

Speaking with CBS 58, the veteran actor said, “Typically, most cast members sign contracts for six or seven years upon joining a show, and then after that, they tend to negotiate on an annual or semi-annual basis.”

He added, “A lot of it depends on each actor’s desire to continue the show, the monetary value of the contract, studio demands, or other factors.”

When asked if there will be “Blue Bloods” season 10, the actor explained that while most of them have yet to sign a contract, he is confident that they will be back. he stated that there is nothing to worry about because there are more stories to tell in “Blue Bloods.”

Secondly, the ratings are always something to consider when renewing a show, and based on the record, the viewership ratings for “Blue Bloods” have declined in the recent months. But regardless, the show is still doing well compared to its rival shows. People still love the drama although the ratings could pose a bit of problem.

Finally, there is a chance that “Blue Bloods” season 10 will still play out because the plot of the latest episodes of season 9 suggests it will continue. There are many things to tie up plus, Will Estes (Jamie Reagan) and Vanessa Ray’s (Eddie Janko) wedding still needs to happen.
