‘Borderlands 3’ release date: When does the game unlock in your location?
Those who purchased “Borderlands 3” for any console it is launching on, the game will be released exactly on Sept. 13, at 12 a.m. in their local time zones. That instantly saves many fans from the confusion compared to when developers set a single unlock schedule that would vary in different time zones.
However, “Borderlands 3” console players in North America will experience it a little differently. Gamers across the continent will have to refer to a single unlock time: Friday, Sept. 13, at 12 a.m. EDT. This means that if a player is located in the West Coast, the game becomes available on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 9 p.m. PDT. The game is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
‘Borderlands 3’ on PC: Gearbox sets uniform release time worldwide
Meanwhile, worldwide fans who will be playing “Borderlands 3” on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store will have to do some time zone conversions. Gearbox has set uniform release time for this platform, and that is on Sept. 13, at 12 a.m. British Standard Time. This means that if a “Borderlands 3” player is living in San Francisco, California, they can access the game on PC on Sept. 12, at 4 p.m. PDT.
To make sure that PC players get opens the game as soon as possible, they can use time zone converters online. Meanwhile, those who prefer to preload “Borderlands 3” before it is available to be unlocked, Gearbox confirmed that they can do so within 48 hours before the game goes live based on the schedule applicable to them. Other things that gamers should take note in preparing for the “Borderlands 3” launch include the PC requirements and a free 75 GB storage space.
