A common complaint leveled at the “Boruto” anime of late is how boring it has become. Even the battles during the infamously overlong filler episode featuring Mitsuki’s disappearance did nothing to provide fans with relief. Will “Boruto” Episode 98 finally put a stop to the anime’s loss of exciting scenes? One can only hope since it will signal a new arc for the show.
As OtakuKart reports, a new story arc will begin in “Boruto” Episode 98, and it will feature attacking birds. Based on the preview clip below, it would appear that there is something causing the wildlife to run amok in a certain forest. What’s more, the cause might have something to do with Juugo, who fans may remember from the original series.
For those who aren’t aware, this character is the progenitor to Orochimaru’s Curse Mark design. Essentially, he is the original holder of the power, and following the last great war, it would appear that he has gone into isolation. “Boruto” Episode 98 might be where he reappears to provide Boruto and his friends quite the challenge.
In “Boruto” Episode 98, Team 7 will be going on a joint mission with Team 15, which should make for quite the interesting development. At the very least, it provides a refreshing change compared to previous arcs where Team 10 was the constant choice. How will the dynamic between these two teams go and will Boruto’s arrogance cause friction between them? Watching the upcoming episode should answer those questions.
As for when “Boruto” Episode 98 will be dropping, it will hit the small screen on March 16. For those who are craving a change of pace with regards to the events in the anime, this might just be what they need. Fans will simply have to cross their fingers that this arc will be a good one and won’t go on for that long.
