“Bosch” season 5 was already renewed even before the fourth installment was aired on Amazon Prime Video. The last season was released in April 2018 so the series is almost on hiatus for a year now. Fans would be happy to know that filming of the series wrapped up late last year thus it will not be long until it finally returns.
Now, while fans wait for “Bosch” season 5’s premiere, Amazon announced some good news. It was stated that the sixth season has been confirmed so the production team is busy once again as soon as soon as filming for season 5 ended.
“I’m on the set where we are wrapping up the filming of Season 5,” TV Line quoted says executive producer Michael Connelly as saying. “And now this great news that we get to do it again with the sixth season. Can’t wait!”
Albert Cheng, head of television for Amazon Studios also commented regarding “Bosch” season 6’s renewal, “We are happy to continue to work with Fabrik, Michael Connelly, and the rest of the team on this artful procedural drama.”
Then again, it should be noted that the sixth season would be the last run for this police procedural drama. As Amazon’s original prime, it is the longest-running crime show so far.
“Bosch” season 5 will debut with new faces and this includes Chris Vance in a recurring role as per Deadline. He will be Dalton Walsh in the series, a villain and the boss of an opioid ring.
On the other hand, Bianca Kajlich will be a regular cast in “Bosch” season 5 and she will be the newest investigator in the team. She will be Christina Henry, a detective that was assigned to look into Harry Bosch’s (Titus Welliver) old cases when he still works for LAPD.
Ryan Hurst also joined the cast lineup as Hector Bonner in “Bosch” season 5. He is also an investigator who has a tensed relationship with Harry. Despite this, they still need to work together to get the job done.
“Bosch” season 5 has no airdate yet but it is expected to arrive this year. Amazon could announce the exact date anytime now since filming is over.
