Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce and custody battles have been the getting worse since the start of the month. The back and forth over the custody proceedings has already been mired in rumors and negative speculation but the original rumors have mostly focused on Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Unfortunately, a recent rumor seems to be including the children in the picture, which could provide complications for both Pitt and Jolie parties.
Recently, TMZ reported on the potential rumor that Angelina Jolie may not be directly preventing the former couple's adopted children from seeing their father, Pitt, but may be influencing them to not want to got to him in the first place. A potential issue that Jolie and Pitt cannot find a compromise over is the glaring distance between the residences of the parents. Pitt currently resides in California while Jolie lives in London.
If the claims are true, this may have negative implications for Angelina Jolie's camp as the “Maleficent” star was provided a court order last June that disallows her from interfering in her children having a normal relationship with their father, Brad Pitt. The court order has specified that the children not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them.
While the rumor of Jolie turning the kids against Pitt may be farfetched, the public cannot deny that the former couple's post-marriage relationship has continued to deteriorate. The recent downhill direction of the custody proceedings for the Brangelina children started when Angelina Jolie claimed that Brad Pitt has yet to provide proper financial child support since the couple split up.
When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie first divorced back in 2016, the parents of six children made a public statement that their custody decisions will be made as a united front. While information on the custody proceedings that is available to the public can still be called cordial, fans can only hope that the continuing discussions will not negatively affect Jolie and Pitt's children.
