Brazilian economic activity index likely to have rebounded In July

The Brazilian political corruption crisis continues to amaze almost on a daily basis, but the Brazilian economy appears to have finally detached from the travails of its political malaise and is primed for a continuation of growth, noted Wells Fargo in a research report.

The political risks might still possibly derail the current recovery of the Brazilian economy again. But the rebound is sustained by the economic collapse of the past few years. Economic figures are coming from such a low base that it would be difficult for the economy not to continue to show rebound.
The monthly economic activity index for the month of July would be released on Thursday. Even if the index has not been in line with positive on a month-on-month or even on year-on-year basis, the economic activity index has rebounded significantly as compared to the past several years, stated Wells Fargo.
