Burger King UK has launched its new BBQ Double Stacker XL, a limited edition burger only available via home delivery companies Uber Eats, Deliveroo, and Just Eat until the end of June.
The BBQ Double Stacker XL is a double cheeseburger with onion rings, bacon, and barbecue sauce and is one of the largest burgers currently on the market. It is unusual since instead of serving onion rings as a separate item, they were in a bun.
The BBQ Double Stacker XL is available via Uber Eats until Tuesday, May 30. From then until Friday, June 30, it can also be ordered from Deliveroo, Just Eat, and the Burger King app.
There’s a free batch of six Chilli Cheese Bites for those ordering on Uber Eats for £20 or more before May 30.
Burger King UK hopes that unique, mouth-watering products like the BBQ Double Stacker XL will help boost sales.
In January, Burger King UK came up with a new plant-based Bakon King range featuring Violife’s vegan cheese and La Vie’s bacon alternative. These were vegan versions of the chain’s three meat-based Bacon King options–the original Bacon King in both single and double varieties and the Chicken Royale Bacon King.
In March, Burger King UK collaborated with Doritos for the Flame-Grilled Whopper flavor Doritos tortilla chips. And on April Fool’s Day, Burger King UK renewed its collaboration with Doritos to offer the Doritos Chilli Heatwave Chicken Fries. The limited-edition product blended juicy chicken strips with crushed Doritos coating and a sprinkling of the Chilli Heatwave flavor.
Since Burger King UK teased the collab with Doritos on April 1, it left fans wondering if the product was for real.
