A CBS News report said a poll put Democratic state Rep. James Talarico ahead of Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race, where voters are set to cast ballots Nov. 3.

In the segment, correspondent Camilo Montoya-Galvez discussed immigration and Trump administration policies as issues that may affect how voters assess the candidates.

A previous CBS News/YouGov survey put Talarico at 51% and Paxton at 49% among likely voters, a difference smaller than its 3.5-percentage-point margin of error, as EconoTimes previously reported.

Texas voters are scheduled to vote in the Senate race Tuesday, Nov. 3.
