Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Monday campaign schedule omits a planned Alamo appearance ahead of Election Day, CBS News reported, with the campaign yet to publicly explain the change.

CBS reported that the campaign had advertised the Alamo as the Nov. 2 endpoint of its two-week “Come and Take It” bus tour. CBS said Paxton’s Monday appearances were in Conroe and Allen, both far from San Antonio.

CBS said the 6:30 p.m. CT start in Allen ruled out a San Antonio stop for Paxton that night. CBS also reported that the campaign had made no public statement about the change and left the outlet’s request for comment unanswered.

Paxton, a Republican, is seeking a U.S. Senate seat against Texas state Rep. James Talarico, a Democrat. CBS News rates the contest a toss-up, as noted in EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of the race.

Election Day is Nov. 3.
