CJ OliveNetworks Co., Ltd and Addverb Technologies have signed a strategic partnership deal to create smart manufacturing logistics solutions. The companies agreed to integrate the former's expertise in system-building with the latter's design technology to develop an advanced automated logistics system.
The South Korean digital service company and the India-based global Robotics Company specializing in warehouse automation said their collaboration aims to form the right solution to help bolster CJ OliveNetworks' manufacturing and logistics operations. The deal was revealed on Wednesday, March 20.
Integration of Addverb's Tech
As per The Korea Economic Daily, Addverb mainly offers AI-powered automation solutions to various companies. The company was set up in 2016 but has already successfully expanded its business to Germany, North America, Australia, Singapore, and the Netherlands. It has its own research and development hub (R&D) in Silicon Valley, California.
Through the partnership, CJ OliveNetworks plans to combine Addverb's hardware with its own software and system development. The company hopes to use the latter's expertise to get proper design, construction, operation, and system management across all the processes.
CJ OliveNetworks' Smart Logistics Business
CJ OliveNetworks is looking to scale up its business in the smart manufacturing logistics field. It has already converted many production sites and facilities in Korea to become smart factories, but it would like to up its game and do more. Thus, it has teamed up with Addverb.
Likewise, CJ OliveNetworks plans to expand its business scope beyond software and solutions through its cooperation with Adverb. Meanwhile, Chosun Business News reported that the company intends to provide the optimal solution, from design to after-sales service, by integrating Adverb Technology's hardware with CJ OliveNetworks' software technology and system construction know-how.
"The partnership with Adverb is an opportunity to take a leap forward as a comprehensive smart manufacturing logistics company," an official of CJ OliveNetworks said. "By leveraging the synergy between the two companies, we will expand overseas manufacturing logistics business for domestic companies and global companies together."
