It would seem that fans of “Call The Midwife” will not have to worry about running out of new episodes to watch anytime soon. The series has been given the green light for three more seasons, so it is guaranteed to stay on the air until 2022. On that note, it would appear that the production for “Call The Midwife” Season 9 was delayed due to the filming of the Christmas special. Fans can take of that what they will.
This development is something of a dilemma for the fans since, on the one hand, they are getting a special episode of the show during the holidays. On the other, they will now have to wait a few more months for “Call The Midwife” Season 9 to arrive. Filming the Christmas special did take a long time to finish. It started in March and ended on May, TVSeasons&Spoilers reports.
Regardless, the only real issue here is the time. “Call The Midwife” Season 9 will be coming, and the same goes for season 10 and 11. Fans only really need to be patient, at this point, which hints and peeks into the upcoming season keeping fans satisfied until the full show comes back. One particular look that the show gave fans features something of a bus situation where the nurses are surrounded by a herd of sheep.
As for what the story of “Call The Midwife” Season 9 is going to be, this is not yet known. However, the season is bound to be full of the same ecstatic energy as the others and will come with plenty of heartwarming moments. This is practically guaranteed for when the show finally returns. As to when that might possibly be, the current schedule puts the premiere around January 2020. That’s not such a long wait.
