Chick-fil-A's frosted soda, a hidden gem on the secret menu, blends soft-serve ice cream with your favorite soda for a unique, creamy twist. While it's not officially listed on the menu, this TikTok-inspired treat has gained popularity among fans who crave something different.

Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Soda Combines Creamy Soft-Serve and Soda, Gaining Popularity Through TikTok

Chick-fil-A is widely known for its signature chicken, but it’s also a fantastic stop for sweet treats. From cookies and brownies to ice cream and milkshakes, the menu offers a variety of sugary options to round out any meal. One lesser-known item to add to that list is the frosted soda.

For those familiar with the "dirty soda" trend, Chick-fil-A’s frosted soda may be right up your alley. Dirty sodas typically involve mixing creamer and flavorings with regular sodas, and Chick-fil-A’s frosted soda offers a similar experience. This secret treat is a blend of soft-serve ice cream with a soda of your choice. While mixing carbonation with something creamy might sound unusual, it’s a combination that has garnered quite a bit of attention online—don’t knock it until you try it.

The trend has been gaining popularity on TikTok for several years, prompting customers to head to their nearest Chick-fil-A to try this unique concoction. People have experimented with everything from frosted root beer to Dr. Pepper, Fanta, and Powerade. Inspired by this buzz, many have rushed to taste the frosted soda.

Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Soda Isn’t on the Menu, But TikTok Fans Have Made It a Secret Favorite

Before you head to Chick-fil-A for a frosted soda, one key thing to know: it’s not listed on the menu. Checking the restaurant’s online menu beforehand, you’ll find several frosted options under the "treats" section, such as frosted coffee, frosted lemonade, and frosted banana coffee, but no mention of soda. Similarly, the “beverages” section shows sodas but no frosted options.

Frosted lemonade has been a menu staple since 2015, and limited-time offerings like watermelon mint frosted lemonade have occasionally appeared, as seen in 2023. However, frosted sodas have never been officially on the menu. Despite this, videos dating back to 2020 show customers ordering these secret frosted sodas.

Once I decided to try it, I arrived at a Chick-fil-A location and closely scanned the menu. As expected, there was no mention of frosted sodas. This drink falls into the "secret menu" category—thanks to TikTok, it’s no longer a secret. Regular Chick-fil-A customers may not know this option, but I was determined to find out how to get one.

Ordering Chick-fil-A’s Frosted Soda Can Be Tricky, But Some Locations Will Still Make It

As the frosted soda trend circulated online, many shared their experiences attempting to order it. One Chick-fil-A employee posted on Reddit, explaining, “Frosted sodas aren’t in our order system, aren’t on the menu, and aren’t on any secret menu either. Therefore, if you try to order a frosted soda, 99% of the time the managers are gonna say no, even if the team member taking your order doesn’t automatically. Every store is run a little differently, but don’t be surprised if they can’t make a frosted soda.”

Despite these warnings, I ventured to the Chick-fil-A on 34th Street in New York City and asked for the frosted soda, feeling slightly nervous. Fortunately, the cashier was incredibly kind and said, “Let me go ask the person that I know is going to let me make it for you,” before disappearing for a few minutes. To my relief, he returned to let me know they could make it for me.

The frosted drinks are made using Chick-fil-A’s frozen drink mixer, which blends soft-serve ice cream with soda. After hearing about how challenging it can be to get this drink made at some locations, I was surprised by how smoothly the process went at this particular store.
