Coloplast A/S lowered its annual organic revenue growth ambition toward FY 2029/30 to 5%-7%, citing U.S. biologics reimbursement changes, healthcare pricing pressure and inflation.
The revised range compares with a prior 7%-8% annual growth ambition under the company’s five-year Impact4 strategy. Coloplast also replaced its previous goal of growing earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) at least in line with revenue with an ambition for an EBIT margin in the mid-20% range in constant currencies. It now expects return on invested capital (ROIC) of about 20% in FY 2029/30, compared with a previous target above 20%.
For FY 2026/27, Coloplast forecasts 5%-7% organic revenue growth and reported growth of 7%-9% in Danish kroner, including an estimated 2-percentage-point benefit from currency movements. It expects an EBIT margin of about 25% in constant currencies before special items and ROIC of about 16%. The company projects that the markets it serves will grow 4%-5% over the ambition period.
Coloplast said inflation could create a 3%-4% headwind in FY 2026/27, particularly for raw materials and freight. Those costs accounted for about 55% of the company’s DKK 9.7 billion cost of goods sold in FY 2025/26.
A program intended to fund higher investment is expected to generate about DKK 500 million, with 75% of the benefit in FY 2026/27 and the full impact in FY 2027/28. Coloplast expects about DKK 200 million in related special items in FY 2026/27. The plan combines a reorganization of China operations, a narrower focus for the biologics unit and tighter control of indirect procurement spending.
The company plans to increase investment in innovation and commercial operations, including U.S. Chronic Care, selected European and emerging markets, and Interventional Urology. Its latest interim report showed 6% organic growth and 5% EBIT growth in constant currencies for the nine months ended June 30, 2026. Biologics sales fell 6% in the third quarter of FY 2025/26, which Coloplast attributed to the reimbursement change. The company’s financial calendar listed Tuesday, Nov. 3, for publication of its FY 2025/26 financial statements.
