iOS wallet choices are growing day by day with new names entering the space. iOS users would now have to do a bit of research while choosing a particular wallet.
Hongfei Tien, founder of YardWallet, a HD wallet with a multisig vault, explained the features packed into the new iOS wallet at the Global Mobile Internet Conference, in July this year, as reported by BraveNewCoin. YardWallet is an easy to use wallet with some unique options.
"In YardWallet you have 2 accounts: Wallet and Vault. Wallet is for daily spending and small balance. Vault is for long term storage and large balance," states the company documentation.
While performing transactions users must select their identity, either a verified email or anonymity. If verified email is chosen, the contact information will be encrypted and linked to the transaction. This makes confirmation times shorter for both sending and receiving coins with a trusted party, eliminating the need to wait for 6 confirmations. These options are only available if both parties are using YardWallet.
Moving on, Aaron Voisine has released an update for BreadWallet, his popular iOS app, after fixing a few minor bugs. It introduces localized recovery phases that are useful for international users who would prefer not to use English. Voisine is committed to offer a free service for his numerous users.
"We will never charge for the app or sending/receiving bitcoin, just like Google searches and Twitter are free", said Voisine.
The newest competitor in the App Store is ArcBit, an open-source wallet created by Tim Lee, which offers a considerable amount of features in a user-friendly package.
"I've built ArcBit in such a way that it doesn't cost my users privacy" said Tim Lee.
Although it offers high level of security, ArcBit seems very lightweight and the interface is smooth, user-friendly and quick to respond. It includes a HD wallet support and a help section for any problems that users may face with the huge number of available features.
"You can expect ArcBit to continually evolve as the Blockchain and Bitcoin evolves. When the lighting networks and confidential transactions hit the main net, you can expect ArcBit to make good use of it", added Lee.
