Continuing improvement in UK's public finances

The trend in the UK's budget deficit in recent months has been for a small monthly reduction of about £500m in the deficit compared to the same month the previous year. That would imply a deficit of £11.7bn, says Societe Generale. 

Estimates at the beginning of the fiscal year (which starts in April) are based on highly incomplete data, so the data may give surprise.
