“Criminal Minds” season 14 may be two weeks away from its season premiere but spoilers just seem to keep flooding in for CBS's crime-procedural with a behavioral analysis bent. The show looks to be leaning on the upcoming October holiday charm, with “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 2 featuring mummies.
Recently, SpoilerTV posted the contents of a CBS press release containing the synopsis of “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 2. Titled “Starter Home,” the upcoming episode will be featuring a new case that gets the Behavioral Analysis Unit's (BAU) attention when an old couple discovers mummified corpses hidden in the walls of their home. Rossi (Joe Mantegna), JJ (A. J. Cook), and Simmons (Daniel Henney) are dispatched to solve a case that could go as far back as 20 years.
According to the synopsis, fans can expect a serial killer procedural, with the team racing against time trying to figure out the killer's ritual before another innocent life falls victim to his predation. Considering that the synopsis currently covers “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 2 only, fans will have to wait and see if this is a case that the BAU can solve in just one episode, or if the killer comes to terrorize the screen once again in future installments.
Fans who also like knowing more about the show's cast of characters can expect David Rossi to reconnect with his ex-wife, Krystall (Gail O'Grady), in “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 2. This is not the first time that Gail O'Grady will be returning to the show, with her character making her debut in a season 13 episode, “The Dance of Love.”
“Criminal Minds” season 14 will broadcast its premiere episode on Oct. 3. Those looking forward to seeing the season premiere's build-up to the upcoming spooky serial killer episode can look forward to “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 2 when it airs the week after, on Oct. 10.
