Before 2021 ended, CD Projekt Red has heavily implied that it has huge plans for the early part of this year. Now, it appears that console gamers could be just weeks away from getting the much-awaited PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of “Cyberpunk 2077.”
Rumors about the release of the next-generation version of “Cyberpunk 2077” has once again made headlines over the past few days after the Twitter page PlayStationSize reportedly found a never-before-seen image from the PlayStation Network backend. The page, which usually shares file size and preload information on upcoming PS4 and PS5 games, said the key visual belongs to the “PS5 native version.
Not much has changed in the key visual’s design. However, it features a new version of V, which seems fitting considering that it is expected to be the main face of the upcoming “Cyberpunk 2077” versions.

Other than that, though, the image does not reveal any information. But since it already exists in the PSN backend, the page suggests that the “Cyberpunk 2077” for current-generation consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S) could be released between the middle of February and early March.
CD Projekt Red has yet to confirm the legitimacy of the image. But the suspected release of the “Cyberpunk 2077” PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version, following the leaked visual art, lines up with the developer’s previous announcement. CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński told Rzeczpospolita in an interview published last November that they were aiming to release updates around the first quarter of 2022. “We are working intensively on the version for the latest generation of consoles, which will be released in the first quarter of 2022 with a major update - Patch 1.5,” Kiciński said (via machine translation) at the time.
That means finding clues about the imminent launch of the next-gen “Cyberpunk 2077” version is not surprising. But it is a good indication that CD Projekt Red is likely to achieve its goal of releasing it, along with patch 1.5 for all earlier versions of the game, by March at the latest.
